Description

Asset Management Technology's mission is to promote a buy-side culture that develops greater in-house business and technology subject matter experts while reducing unnecessary bureaucracy. We aim to deliver commercially viable, scalable services benefiting the entire corporation by developing agile, nimble delivery teams.  The goals of the Distribution & Marketing team are:

  • Design, Architect and Develop Java based applications to process core reference data
  • Define canonical messages for a SOA transport bus.
  • Interface with Operations, Accounting and trading teams to understand requirements.
  • Provide L3 support as needed

The job holder leads the overall design and oversees the development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications systems. S/he develops application architecture and blueprints and defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools. S/he also provides technical guidance to application development teams, consults on integration and conversion issues and participates in mapping technology-independent applications architecture to the chosen technology platform.
 
Key job duties shall include:

  • Develop Java code to process core reference data
  • Define canonical messages for a SOA transport bus.
  • Interface with Operations, Accounting and trading teams to understand requirements.
  • Provide L3 support as needed


Qualifications

Minimum 6 - 8 years experience required. Job holder must have previously contributed to the definition or architecture of the global IT environment and have a grasp on future IT plans and expected impacts. S/he must have extensive experience developing and integrating multi-platform tools and third-party software or applications. S/he must also be well-informed about market trends, emerging technologies and the history and evolution of application development and support tools. Job holder must have in-depth knowledge of information architecture policy and infrastructure. Prior experience with defining and implementing information architecture, principles, blueprints and standards for information management required. Job holder must be an effective oral and written communicator, skilled in negotiations and customer-service oriented.

  • Minimum 6 - 8+ years applications development experience: Java, J2EE, Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus required
  • Strong Object-Oriented Analysis & Design skills required
  • Strong Expertise with Core Java concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency with Market Data (Bloomberg, Reuters etc.) required
  • Expert proficiency with Security Masters and Reference Data  required
  • Advanced proficiency with  Market Enterprise Management (Cadis) a strong plus
  • Business understanding of Equity, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income and Fixed Income Derivatives knowledge is a plus
  • Applications Design/Development experience in Asset servicing / Asset Management  a strong plus
  • Advanced proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or Angularjs knowledge a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing, Messaging a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal required
