Finance helps our internal clients outperform over time. At BNY Mellon, Finance serves our internal clients by providing world-class accounting operations and control and decision support while instituting world-class change management.
Global Procurement is responsible for establishing the programs to acquire products and services for BNY Mellon by employing deep category knowledge and commodity expertise, coupled with an understanding of the needs of our businesses and business partner groups.
The Corporate Treasury group is responsible for managing the investment portfolios and the liquidity and capital positions of the various subsidiary banks and of BNY Mellon.
The incumbent performs the most complex research and analysis to provide senior management with analytical/technical support and advice related to the corporation's financial performance, and critical financial accounting issues. Provides leadership and direction to financial analysts in special projects and ongoing assignments in financial accounting and reporting, and analysis. Incumbents are very experienced analysts who frequently serve as a project leader and provide functional guidance to a small group of financial accountants. The incumbent is relied on for professional judgment and experiences in financial accounting and analysis.
BA/BS with accounting concentration. Knowledge of GAAP. The position requires knowledge of advanced accounting and finance concepts and analysis techniques, and the ability to apply them creatively to the most complex projects. Typical training includes an MBA or CPA. 7 years related experience. In addition to the previous level, this position requires the ability to provide supervisory direction and technical guidance to other analysts. Developed skills in communicating complex financial data in written and oral form, the ability to design sophisticated analytical/computer methodologies, and to work in an unstructured environment are important.
Basel reporting experience preferred.
