Collateral Management is one of the fastest growing areas within Global Collateral Services both in the market place and at BNYMellon. This product has been developed to meet the continuous requirement by major financial investors and principle brokerage firms to improve their profit ratios. The successful management of their collateral (securities or cash) to support this is a logical development therefore within the securities industry. BNYMellon acts as an independent third party to any agreement between an Investor (with cash or securities to lend) and a Dealer (willing to borrow cash or securities against non-cash collateral), hence the often used term Tri-party. As the product has grown, other types of collateral management products have been added and combined with sophisticated collateralisation systems (developed by the Bank), this has enabled us to become the leader in collateral management services. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER Gather, analyse and document information for new Business Requirements in support to GCM and DMM activities. Participate in Business Requirements modeling with Product Department, Business and IT experts. Participate in the writing of Functional Specifications with Business and IT experts. Draw up User Acceptance Testing schedules in conjunction with the QA test team and coordinate the UAT. Write detailed test plans and conduct testing of the existing and new functionalities. Update the existing user guides with newly implemented functionalities and revised processes. Support Operations to ensure smooth production implementation by training staff and providing ongoing support on new functionalities. Facilitate communication between users and IT experts. Analyse system issues detected by the GCM and DMM operations and find temporary or final solutions together with system developers and operations management. Set up client reporting and handle requests for changes. Troubleshoot reporting issues with clients.


Background: 3 + years' experience within BNYM or experience in collateral management, project management and user acceptance testing. Varied operational experience or experience in a client contact group within operations is considered to be an asset. Demonstrable Skills: Language skills: fluent in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels. Good knowledge of the Banks' principal custody and collateral management systems and Microsoft Office skills are an advantage. Ability to handle numbers and various analytical tasks. Personal Skills: Reliable team player with a sense of responsibility toward clients and the team. Flexible and willing to work in shifts. Able to develop risk management skills as experience and understanding of the GCM and DMM business develops. Self-driven, capable of working independently. Quick learner. Thorough with strong organizational and analytical skills. Capable of finding creative solutions and new opportunities. Adaptable and flexible, able to switch and prioritize tasks.
