The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the portfolio management process to ensure timely and accurate implementation of investment strategies across AMNA clients’ portfolios. The incumbent will collaborate with AMNA investment teams and all internal cross-functional teams where necessary. Primary responsibilities include:
- Rebalancing portfolios due to cash flows, guideline changes or general market movements
Managing and maintaining appropriate cash levels and equitizing wherever necessary
Monitoring dispersion across portfolios within similar strategies and coordinating actions needed with portfolio teams
Ensuring accounts are being managed consistently with client guidelines
Partnering with all internal and external teams in support of funding new accounts, transfers-in-kind, client transitions and general account set up
Tracking trading trends of AMNA products
Building strong working relationships with AMNA portfolio teams
Mitigate firm wide operational risk within daily processing environment
This position requires the incumbent to be able to work independently and contribute as part of a team, most importantly to provide support and backup for other members of the team when necessary. Strong analytical skills, strict attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines are necessary attributes for this position.
QualificationsTechnology expertise preferred. Progression towards the CFA designation or an MBA is a plus. Minimum Education BS/BA Minimum Experience 5-7 years of work experience in he investment management industry Preferred Education Progression towards CFA or MBA Preferred Experience portfolio analysis or investment operations/administration experience preferred
