This role is for a strategic investment project to industrialize the electronic foreign exchange offering by automating as much of the business as possible. In scope is the development of a range of direct and supporting execution services for BNY Mellon’s existing client base. The position will include direct interaction with our business partners, other technology teams and software vendor partners. The environment is fast pace and leverages cutting edge technology.
- Develop key components of the EFX target state architecture.
- Partner with the business, production services and application development teams to execute Markets technology’s target state vision
- Leverage vendor products were applicable.
- Managing deliverables across multiple system owners to deliver critical changes to existing systems.
· Document business requirements and process and, where appropriate, carry out testing to ensure requirements are met
· Ensures project delivery is in conformance with company methodologies and standards.
The candidate should have proven experience with the following technologies – Java, FIX protocol, UNIX/Linux scripting, SQL, HTML5 and .NET application development.. The candidate should also have some past exposure with foreign exchange or related financial markets. The qualified candidate should have a background that is team oriented and end user facing and include experiences working with external vendors and global team structures. The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 6-8 years of experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
