Position Summary:  Describe below the primary purpose and function of this job Working a part of a team the Senior  Representative will be required to process and review client securities instructions, cancellations and amendments accurately and timely within NAV deadlines. S/he will be required to apply the rules / procedures to ensure that all trades are received and accurately accounted for the funds for the required valuation points. S/he would be responsible for external and internal queries to the various groups in a timely and efficient manner, operating in a high pressure environment while keeping a positive attitude. The incumbent would be responsible for verification of trade packs as per compliance procedures. The incumbent will be expected to interpret complex trade instructions, raise and resolve external and internal queries to provide accurate & Timely resolution. The incumbent must be able to recognize and escalate any potential fraudulent activities and to ensure timely service. A key responsibility of this role is to conduct quality check of processing /Verification/cancellation/Pending investigation/Lotus notes /Query Tracker through regular spot checks   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Key Roles & Responsibilities:  List up to 6 key roles and responsibilities of this job. (Percentages must sum to 100%) Percentage of  Time 1.
  • Process and reconcile client securities instructions, cancellations and amendments for funds in an accurately and timely manner within the NAV deadlines.

  • Proactive follow-up for trade files and preparation of trade packs for the respective funds. Maintain daily and follow the daily check list. Answer queries in a timely and efficient manner

  • Apply fund accounting trade rules and internal procedures to accommodate client needs/ ensure procedures.

  • Client Contact: liaise directly with clients for instruction-related issues in defined scenarios. Master the internal contingency procedures and acquire a general awareness of BNYM’s contingency measures. Serve as a reference point for the team and other departments
  • Support the group in day-to-day tasks & ensure proactive follow up of pending items

  • Perform daily controls and follow the review check list. Question the daily work in terms of risk, Identify failures, missing controls and discuss / propose solutions to solve them

Interact and Communicate with fund accounting/onshore team on outstanding issues/queries          Interactions / Interpersonal Skills:  Describe the nature and level of interactions this job has with others, both internally and externally.  Explain any specific interpersonal skills necessary to successfully perform this role (i.e., negotiation skills, represents business at external events or to governmental bodies, etc. ). *Effective communication (articulately expresses thoughts and ideas  both oral and written) & Quick learning. Ability to identify the processing errors and provide effective feedback to the processor. Ability to handle crunch situation and to be able to work under extremely tight deadlines.  

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:  Indicate the minimum and preferred education and experience for this job and any licenses and certifications required Minimum Education: - 1. Graduate  2. Preferably  B.com or Economics     Preferred Education: Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 year experience in FA Trade Processing   Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 year experience in Fund Accounting and exposure in Financial Industry is Preferable   Minimum Language Skills: Good written and oral English communication skills required   Preferred Language Skills: Good written and oral English communication skills required
