Job Description

The Specialist Fund / Client Accounting Real Estate Operations will be responsible for managing the workflow of more junior staff to ensure the meeting of all PE/RE OPs deadlines. The role will serve as primary day-to-day contact for daily service to Real Estate clients on a specific sub set of funds. The Specialist Fund / Client Accounting Real Estate Operations will provide premier client service. She/he will ensure compliance with investment law requirements, they will prepare accounting guidance/standards, implement regulatory changes in investment reporting and improve validation and control instruments.

The incumbent will serve as the first escalation point for complex problem resolution and will escalate to the team manager as and when appropriate.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a strong control environment is maintained at all times including strict adherence to Global PE/RE procedures and controls.
Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management
    Responsible for primary day-to-day contact for specific Real Estate Operations clients and funds. Actively contribute to the production of Real Estate Operations client reporting. Ensures prompt escalation of potential client issues and contribute to developing solutions that meet client requirements
  • Service Delivery
    Ensure that Real Estate Operations client deliverables are produced accurately and in compliance with policy within expected timeframe agreed in client service level documents. Promptly ensures any service delivery issues are escalated to the Team Manager. Attend service review meetings with the Team Manager.
  • Control Environment
    Responsible for ensuring that all Real Estate Operations functions are performed in line with company policy and procedure. Assists Team Manager with resolution of any queries from Internal Control, Internal Audit or external audit reviews.


Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • 5+ years Financial Services experience
  • 2+ years experience in Real Estate.
  • Good knowledge of Real Estate products and accounting systems
    Business Expertise
  • Detailed working knowledge of the alternatives industry and of the different areas within service delivery.
  • The individual should aggressively look to grow their knowledge and expertise in the Real Estate area.
  • The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert for more junior staff.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form is critical to this role.
  • Daily interaction with clients and engagement with AIS Service Delivery teams, including management and business partners.
