Job Description

Vendor Technology Risk (VTR), a division of Technology Risk Management, is responsible for the following functions:  governance & oversight, integration with other BNY Mellon departments, and regulatory & industry alignment.  The TRM Analyst will primarily be responsible to conduct vendor risk assessments, review past due actions and escalate issues as appropriate, and escalate concerns regarding the highest priority risk issues to governance entities at BNY Mellon.  The successful Analyst will have a combination of business or technical-related education or 1-5 years of related work experience, experience with audit / information risk management / information security, and an understanding of vendor risk and / or supplier management.  In addition to education and experience, certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, PMP, or PMI-RMP are valuable.


The Vendor Technology Risk Analyst supports the Vendor Technology Risk Managers driving the strategic information risk program within TRM and business areas supported. S/he will assist and support Senior Vendor Technology Risk Analysts and Managers with the development of strategic program elements and provide input to the TRM risk prioritization. S/he must demonstrate a good to working knowledge of information, cyber, security, and technology risk concepts and be able to assist in advanced data manipulation tasks including pulling/aggregating data from multiple sources and performs analysis, trending, etc., and understanding of metrics (KRIs, KPIs). S/he will assist in detailed application risk analysis to facilitate comprehensive risk assessment; including working papers and metrics for tracking and support issue remediation and tracking to ensure effective controls are in place to remediate risks. The Vendor Technology Risk Analyst must be able to work across global and regional groups and communicate information risk matters effectively to her/his management. The Vendor Technology Risk Analyst reports to the Senior Information Risk Analyst or Manager within their department.

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Previous risk and/or audit experience is - a plus but not required. A minimum of 1 years' experience, 1-2 years in information risk or technology is preferred.

Risk and Compliance provide risk and compliance services across all BNY Mellon businesses.
