Lead Manager, Reconciliation
Role Synopsis and Required Skills and Attributes
Responsible for the performance of reconciliations of stock and cash accounts in accordance with Regulatory requirements. The team is located and Liverpool and Chennai.
• Proven understanding of operational risk and control processes’ identification and escalation
• Proven experience of working with External Audit, Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance and Regulatory bodies
• Sound understanding of FCA CASS and CBI CAR rules required.
• Strong operational experience essential
• Experience in control and oversight of stock and cash accounts reconciliations preferred.
• Proven understanding of the importance of tight controls. A good working knowledge of Pershing and its market place. General knowledge of banking processes. Awareness of compliance to FCA regulations
• Experience in the collation and provision of management information to facilitate reviews of key performance and risk indicators, departmental budgets and planning
• People management in a global organisation preferred
Description and Position Summary
Strong focus on Client Asset Protection Regulations.
Leads a medium to large team responsible for small-scale projects with activities that include daily reconciliations, identifying system issues and making adjustments correctly.
Supports the development of procedures and processes for the Reconciliation function within the business unit. Resolves complex or serious issues escalated by the team.
Supports the implementation of new system enhancements. Participates in the development of new enhancements and initiatives.
Leverages a complete understanding of tools to identify complex breaks. Synthesizes and analyses team reporting of daily, weekly and monthly suspense and depository reconciliations. Leads regulatory reporting for medium to large sized team.
Partners with supervisors and managers of other groups in the firm to assess issues and strategize improvements.
Supports the implementation of new technology solutions or improvements for new and existing business needs. Monitors and reviews feedback to ensure new solutions are meeting business needs.
