Job Description

The Mortgage Compliance Analyst will assist in managing the day-to-day mortgage compliance efforts related to regulatory, legal, policies, procedures and practices. Assists management in controlling the process by which business unit managers can ensure compliance throughout the mortgage process. Organizes and disseminates regulatory mortgage compliance-related issues/materials to various levels of management. Assists in providing interpretations of mortgage regulatory material upon request. Latitude in making independent decisions is within specifically defined parameters. Contact is primarily with Middle to Senior Business Unit Management.  


The qualified candidate must be able to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a professional approach to problem solving. Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects independently. This position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communications skills (verbal and written). S/He may provide advice to entry-level employees. Incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills, in order to influence and communicate impacted business decisions, over which the incumbent has no direct authority. Ability to deal with sensitive, confidential information required. Proven ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously (multi-tasking). BA/BS preferred. Incumbent must have a minimum of 5 - 7 years' of relevant mortgage product and/or auditing and compliance management experience. Also, a demonstrated knowledge of mortgage banking and fiduciary regulations (both domestic and international), operations and/or accounting. Prior project management experience required.
