Information Risk Officer I
Position Summary: Describe below the primary purpose and function of this job
The Information Risk Officer I supports the Information Risk Managers driving the strategic information risk program within IRM and business areas supported, while providing advice and guidance to the Information Risk Analysts.

S/he will assist and support Senior Information Risk Managers with the development of strategic program elements and provide input to the IRM risk prioritization.
Sh/e will have a thorough understanding of risk management concepts and how to apply to their team's field of expertise and assists in issue remediation and tracking to ensure effective controls are in place to remediate risk.
Sh/e would be expected to provide subject matter expertise in support of tools used to manage information risk matters, e.g., develop business requirements, and assist users in content development.
A lead role in advanced data manipulation tasks including pulling/aggregating data from multiple sources, performs analysis, trending and has a good understanding of metrics (KRIs, KPIs).
The Information Risk Officer I must be able to work across global and regional groups and communicate information risk matters effectively to their senior management.
The Information Risk Officer I reports to the Information Risk Managers within their department and is expected to deputize for the Information Risk Lead Specialist when required.
JOB DESCRIPTION CONTENT (continued) LEVELING FACTORS Business Expertise: Describe the requirement for knowledge and expertise about how various parts of the organization work together to achieve business objectives. Explain the degree of understanding required of the industry, commercial environment and of competitor’s products and services.
- Strong experience in a Technology Risk, Information Security and/or IT Audit role.
- Should be able to understand and govern the VTR Business Coordination for BNY Mellon India.
- Thorough understanding of Risk Assessment approaches and methodologies for network designs include appropriate standard toolsets for Data Loss Prevention, Intrusion Prevention, Anti-Virus etc.
- Experience in carrying out risk reviews, technology audits or other similar work.
- This function will have direct / indirect impacts on the Network / Infrastructure Security through assessments and reviews done for India.
- Thorough understanding of the ISO series of standards and guidelines specially ISO 27001 and 9001 series and infrastructure related regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Management is the key skill for this role. The candidate should be able to work directly with senior management with medium supervision.
