Job Description

Manager, Appl Development->> Manages a small application development team responsible for providing application and user support, troubleshooting, application testing, and post-implementation review of new/changed applications. Responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Designs, tests, documents and implements systems and programs, may lead the development of design requirements. Supervises a team by providing instruction, making assignments, directing and checking the work of applications developers. Provides training in technical tools and skills, as well as specific applications and their business functions to maximize their contribution. Completes final testing for conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications, provides application and user support, troubleshooting, application testing, and post-implementation review of new/changed applications. Develops, enhances, and maintains quality application systems to support the client area. Coordinates the activities of the department with the client area and other IT departments (e.g. database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.)Encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions. Manages a small development team. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Assist with the NEXEN Content Management project using BNYM proprietary software and tools, including BNYM Logger Utility, WCMCM8Service, BNYM Repository Manager Service, BNYM Enterprise Document Conversion Service (EDCS) and BNYM Win Service.
  • Assist in the integration of Common Enterprise Entitlements Platform (CEEP) to NEXEN Content Management Service. 
  • Configure the WCM Repository Manager and WCM Content Manager to store the electronic deocument and its metadata information in image repository based on business admin settings
  • Create the production environment setup for the web service and monitor the servicers with the help of HealthCheckMonitor and configure it to a load balanced environment
  • Incorporate the EDCS conversion in NEXEN Content Management service (for example, TIFF document will be converted to PDF
  • Assist the team with the review, selection, and implementation of a new vendor based document management system, replacing a portion of the NEXEN Content Management service.
  • Coordinate with multiple production support groups during deployment activities.
  • 6  years development experience with Windows based technologies
  • 6  years Experience with document management platforms

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 6 + years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
