Job Description

The position of Senior Administrative Officer reports directly to the CAO of the business. The position is a multifaceted one encompassing three key areas: (1) Governance Support; (2) General Administration; and (3) Special Projects and Initiatives. 1. Governance Support involves coordination of activities related to our key oversight mechanisms (Executive Committee, CEO Meetings, Board Meetings, Operating Committee and Business Reviews.) and requires interaction with senior management, legal, corporate secretaries and HR. 2. General Administrative requirements including the partnering with the various internal service providers to manage the implementation of regulatory and compliance matters, oversee and direct support requirements to align with corporate objectives inclusive of the development of operational policies and related procedures. 3. For special projects and initiatives, the candidate will be responsible for driving organizational changes including the simplification of administrative processes, including analysis of current processes, recommending and implementing changes to improve general business operations.


Applicants must be able to establish effective relationships and work interactively with key company leadership and their staffs and must be versatile and flexible to move smoothly between a wide variety of assignments and changing priorities. The highest level of communication skills and professionalism is necessary for the expected level of communication this person will have with the most senior leadership within our organization. Applicants must possess superior organizational and follow-up skills, have excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and research skills, and be proficient in the use of office computers and related enterprise applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point. The candidate must be able to manage tight deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. BS or BA. MBA preferred. 7+years relevant experience, preferably in Financial Services Industry. Well-developed Project Management skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of corporate personnel including senior management. Financial analysis, accounting and project management skills. Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must understand the organizational structure and communicate with all levels of management, vendors, and contractors.
