The Role:

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Developer Team Lead, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analysis of internal and third party data providing actionable distribution intelligence to the North American Distribution channels.  He or she will also be responsible for architecture, design and development of the end-to-end distribution intelligence.

 

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will utilize various tools and technologies including Alteryx, Tableau, Salesforce.com, SQL databases and other structured and unstructured data sources to enhance sales and marketing effectiveness. The incumbent will have exceptional expertise in data marts, data warehouses and business intelligence enterprise reporting with a thorough understanding of distribution. The individual in this role must have the ability to work well under pressure to meet time sensitive deadlines, have excellent communication skills, and possess interpersonal and organizational skills.  He or she may be asked to produce ad/hoc-reporting or participate in special projects initiated by management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain ETL, data blending workflows for analysis, reporting and dashboards
  • Designs end-to-end business intelligence solutions including data models, Alteryx ETL design, Tableau and other BI/OLAP applications
  • Conduct analysis, synthesize results and provide insights across distribution channels
  • Design intuitive dashboards and BI reports and communicate complex analytical results to non-technical business users
  • Manage third party data providers; vet and QC vendors and data, serve as subject matter expert
  • Identify distribution opportunities, strategic insights and competitive strategy, optimization of resource deployment and client segmentation and targeting

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • At least 5 years in Distribution Operations or Business Intelligence
  • Experience using Tableau, Alteryx or other similar BI Development tools (such as Microstrategy,  SAS professional desktop suite, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science and/or Data Science or other STEM related field
  • Experience using ETL or Data blending tools
  • Experience with front –end Dashboard development tools
  • Experience in working in asset or investment management industry
