ISD collaborates with its colleagues across all three lines of defense, including Technology Risk Management, Internal Audit and our businesses and information technology teams. Our emphasis on collaboration ensures the development and delivery of services that are responsive to the evolving threat landscape and drive value to our customers.    This is a Tower engagement lead role as part of the Insider Services team and will report to the Director of Cybersecurity Threat Detection & Insider Threat Service. This role will lead the program build-out to support stakeholder engagement and working groups to establish a formal governance structure for Insider threat detection and mitigation.   Lead Manager, Information Security->> Manages a small to medium-sized team responsible for organization data protection. Oversees CTS security architecture, security monitoring and auditing, incident reporting/response and forensics. Implements security strategy, manages security program and initiatives, and liaises with business process owners for ongoing alignment. Manages conduction of business risk assessments and development of risk mitigation strategies. Leads team in monitoring the utilization and effectiveness of security resources. Develops and implements monitoring and metrics approaches. Provides direction and guidance on reports and analyses and ensures recommendations are aligned with customer/business needs and capabilities. Monitors budgets and schedules for projects managed by the team and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. Participates in the recruiting process, instructs, assigns, directs and reviews the work of other information security analysts, prepares performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback. Manages an information security team. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

 

 

Key Job Duties:
  • Oversight of the Insider Services program charters and associated deliverables
  • Development and management of the Insider Services governance structure, working groups and required technology integration to manage risk effectively
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with business and business function stakeholders in order to ensure strong engagement and risk management as it relates to the service
  • Partnering with other groups within Information Security, Technology Services and other stakeholders to develop/improve policies and procedures, training and awareness, risk reporting (KPIs and KRIs), program charter deliverables and Insider Services programs such as operational playbooks, watchlisting capabilities for enhanced monitoring, etc.
  • Working with Line of Business (LoB) risk officers to proactively document risks and develop required controls for threat mitigation
  • Reporting consistent, timely and meaningful program metrics and LoB dashboards to enable our stakeholders and senior management
  • Ensure service alignment with international, federal, state and local regulatory/policy requirements for compliance
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Professional and/or Industry relevant certifications are preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering large Enterprise Security/Risk programs
  • A natural leader who can influence without direct authority and able to build and maintain strong relationships

  • Ability to speak and understand both in technical and business terms with a variety of stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the threat and regulatory landscape
  • A passion for surfacing threats, understanding them and communicating them to IT and business stakeholders at all levels in business terms
  • Amazing written and presentation skills
  • Skills with reporting and metrics tracking for efficacy
  • Adaptable to changing requirements and to quickly learn new technology/tools
  • Interest and curiosity to seek out, understand and communicate the big picture
