Job Description

 

Title :  Assistant Manager ; Corporate Communications

BNY Mellon Technology

Location : Chennai or Pune

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic resource with a Corporate Communication/content writing experience with strong editing skills to join the ISMC team in India. In this role, the candidate will have to participate in all stages of the content writing, research, creating publications, newsletters and blogs.  He/she will support the Head of Communications and the team to plan and execute various marketing communication initiatives organization wide.

 

Job Description

•             Collaborate with the communication head to research and plan new articles for the social media platforms; create employee digital magazines, dossiers, newsletters, emails and blogs for various                communication platforms and provide support for events when required.

•             Commission articles

•             Liaise with team members (e.g. various function heads, technology teams, leadership teams, innovation heads, software engineers, business analysts to get the brief for the stories.)

•             Write and edit pieces. Proofread and check articles for accuracy and ensure the content is created for a lay man perspective. Storytelling is critical.

•             Choose supporting material, like images and illustrations

•             Follow current events and developments and suggest original ideas.

•             Use social media and SEO to draw attention to articles

•             Create content for external use – website, campus, white papers for publishing, case studies and content for award submissions and leadership speaking opportunities when required.

 

Requirements

•             Strong team player

•             Proven work experience as a reporter or equivalent in a corporate communication field

•             Strong writing and editing ; proofreading skills

•             Experience with MS Office, publishing tools and digital media content marketing

•             Familiarity with SEO and social media platforms

•             Proficiency in English

•             Attention to detail

•             Excellent communication skills

•             Ability to prioritize and multitask

•             Masters  in journalism, communications or  in related field

 

Work experience of  8- 10 years in a corporate with relevant experience or in an equivalent field.
