Job Description

This position is responsible for the overall management of investment products and marketing activities in either a BNYM Asset Management subsidiary (BNYM AM) or for a BNYM AM product segment. The responsibilities include: managing the sales & marketing areas; defining the annual and long-term strategy including executing the positioning & messaging of the affiliate's or product segment's branding and the establishment of accompanying communications plan; contributing to new product development; and assisting or leading in relationship management & client retention activities with the firm's most important accounts. The incumbent represents BNYM AM with the press, industry organizations, government agencies, and other outside parties as well as with major clients.

Qualifications

Position requires 10+ of extensive experience in institutional sales and marketing and/or client relationship management with at least 5 of those years in managing a sales force for an investment firm; excellent understanding of the investment business and BNYM AM's products and services; strong and visible communication skills; strong analytical and financial analysis skills; excellent negotiation abilities and demonstrated experience in leading teams; Bachelor's Degree required post graduate degree preferred and/or CFA.
