Job Purpose


This role provides support to the eCommerce team with focus on supporting BAU activities (eg ongoing maintenance of websites; marketing emails; intranet) through a close working relationship with our offshore team, management of MI reporting and providing support for projects. This role also provides support to the wider eCommerce and Marketing teams.





The eCommerce Analyst will be required to:

  • Act as first point of contact for the offshore team in order to manage BAU activities.

  • Effectively prioritise requests received by the team to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Work closely with the offshore team to produce regular MI reports across all activities managed by the eCommerce team and distribute to key stakeholders. Create/maintain dashboards to effectively convey information to the Marketing and wider business teams. Make and implement recommendations for improving effectiveness of our online activities based on these reports.

  • Act as first point of contact for any intranet amends required by business users and take responsibility for keeping intranet content up-to-date and reviewed on a regular basis with the support from the offshore team.

  • Regularly engage with content creators to source new/amended content in order to keep the public websites up-to-date.

  • Take responsibility for digital marketing campaigns as required, including liaising with the CRM Manager to ensure that Salesforce campaign lists are up-to-date and any issues resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provide project support as required, creating/providing documentation, following up on actions and co-ordinating requirements/requests from across the business.

  • Providing general support for the online approval system (eg BPM / DotApprove). Produce regular MI reports illustrating content creation and approval activities and distribute to the marketing team heads.

  • Undertake competitor research using websites, social media, industry research (e.g. Kasina reports, eConsultancy best practice reports) etc to enable Newton to benchmark itself. Research new trends.

  • Provide cover for the eCommerce Manager and Social Media Manager as required.

  • Provide support to the wider Marketing team for online and other activities.



Key skills and system knowledge required:

  • Highly organised and efficient, able to work effectively under pressure with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to explain complex concepts in simple terms and adapt delivery style to suit audience.

  • Excellent attention to detail, process-orientated.

  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Campaign Manager with an understanding of SEO strategies.

  • Numerate, with good analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Very good Microsoft Excel skills, good Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.

  • Good team player, strong stakeholder management skills.

  • An interest in online marketing is highly desirable.

  • Experience using email marketing platforms (eg Pardot) & web Content Management Systems would be desirable but not essential.

  • Experience of CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) would be desirable but not essential.

  • Asset management experience would be desirable but not essential.

  • Willingness to learn and develop the role.
