VP - Sr.Specialist, Tech. Product Manager ( FIX / XML )
This leadership position is focused on managing implementation of projects/products and services for Pershing's clients to facilitate the needs of an open architecture platform.
NETX Services (NXS) is Pershing’s open architecture and integration platform, offering several application programming interfaces (APIs) that enable customers to leverage third party vendor or proprietary systems to access Pershing’s financial tools and information. Existing customers include online brokerage firms, traditional full service brokers, direct market access firms, order management systems, registered investment advisors, institutional trading firms and market data vendors amongst others. NXS supports FIX, XML, Web Services, REST and MQ Series protocols
Leads and provides direction on product development and marketing processes for multiple large products.
Liaises with cross-functional teams to provide products that address client needs. Leads sessions on the design and development of product marketing strategies for multiple large products.
Leads cross-functional sessions with teams such as Development and Marketing. Ensures project is on time and to budget. Is highly familiar with product competitors, consumer trends, and market status.
May act as the primary point of contact for small products. Responsible for analyzing, defining, and challenging the product's business case based on team and industry reports.
Prioritizes product requirements and further investigates product feasibility.
Determines project responsibilities and scope. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
A successful candidate will work closely with customers implementing robust, efficient and cost effective solutions that leverage their existing proprietary or third party vendor systems and the open architecture philosophy NETX Services embraces.
This individual will effectively manage customer expectations regarding project development, scheduling and implementation.
The role has a significant component of interaction with internal business units such as technology, relationship and account management, as well as executive level management.
They will also be responsible for participating in production monitoring, product checkout and production support of the NETX Services platform.
Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required,
8-10 years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred
Experience with FIX, XML/Web Services, REST with an understanding of real time messaging protocols is preferred
Experience working in brokerage and clearing operations with a strong compliance and risk management culture is preferred
Excellent relationship management, product management and organizational skills is preferred
