Job Description

Team Description:   Working within the BNY Mellon Fund Services (Ireland) Designated Activity Company Transfer Agency team you will be working as part of a fast paced team acting as the first line of defence for the business within a pre vetting model.   The AML team is responsible for a number of key tasks to ensure alignment with Global and local policies while ensuring adherence to the current legislation.   Responsibilities:
  • Conducts a thorough quality review of basic client reports to ensure all information in the policy is accurately reflected in the profile.
  • Reviews complex client reports to ensure all information in the policy is accurately reflected in the profile.
  • Reviews profiles that have been flagged for escalation during the profile renewal process.
  • Amends client profiles when appropriate.
  • Maintains a current understanding of global issues, risks and events that could affect a clients risk level. Identifies and updates profiles when appropriate.
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders and external clients in order to resolve any issues, as needed.
  • May provide guidance to less experienced staff. Contributes to the achievement of team goals.
  In addition to the above, we are responsible for but not limited to the following tasks;
  • On - boarding of investors ensuring that application forms are completed in full
  • Ensuring that the required Anti Money Laundering Documentation is received for all new investors
  • Completion of AML reviews on a trigger based approach or periodic review
  • Reviewing of documentation and independent research as a result of Politically Exposed Persons or Sanctions matches in line with the applicable laws and policies
  • Working on various projects while ensuring that daily deadlines are met
  • Liaising with both internal and external parties on a daily basis
  • Completion of required MLRO and client reporting
  • Providing accurate and timely MIS information
  • Ensuring agreed SLA’s are met
  • Deliver work within a tight, deadline driven environment
  • Review the AML documentation for the take-on of new clients, this will involve working with both the client and various internal departments
  • Participation in client onsite visits
  • Participation in MLRO onsite visits
  • Acting as a point of escalation for more junior members of staff

Qualifications

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  3 – 5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in the financial industry preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of current AML requirements operating within Ireland preferred but not essential
  • Motivated team members with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
