Specialist UI Developer AngularJS/Angular2, JavaScript, Java, SQL

Asset service technology at BNY Mellon has an immediate need for web developer with Java application development background. We are looking for 6 plus years of experience.  Work involves cloud based UI development using latest web technologies and integrating with Java Back end to towards next generation Data Analytics development

Skills required

-          2-3 years of Experience building AngularJS/Angular2 applications, Node.js, npm

-          Experience building reusable components, libraries

-          Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, Typescript, HTML5/CSS

-          Experience with Bootstrap, Material Design or similar

-          Working knowledge of REST, web/http services, JSON, messaging, real-time, authentication/authorization

-          5 plus year Experience with server side architecture (Java)

-          Knowledge of automate build tools and continuous integration (Maven, Jenkins, Nexus etc.) strongly desired

-          Strong SQL knowledge across SQL Server, Sybase and Oracle

-          Hands on Knowledge around Java Sprint will be plus.

Primary Job Responsibilities

·         Consults with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services and technical support.

·         Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology.

·         Works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.

·         Contributes to defining timetables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.

·         Takes lead for establishing, implementing and monitoring 'best practices' for technical development methodologies and tools. Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

·         Participation in agile based software development model

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 6-8 years of experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
