Job Description

Manages Payment Risk and Critical Payment initiatives consisting of multiple teams across multiple payment products. Responsible for the financial and human resources for the unit and ensures assigned teams are operating effectively to meet unit goals and objectives. Effectively ensures regional teams comply with standards, policies preferred practices to mitigate operational risk associated with Treasury Payment Systems. Executes business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy. Establishes/ directs the implementation of operating and/ or administrative protocols for Payment Risk and Program activities of the unit. Responsible for ensuring integration of the departments activities within the risk management efforts/ appetite of the organization and successful implementation of business objectives. Responsible for managing financial and resource management aspect for the programs. Provides strategic direction to the Treasury Payment team to ensure team are following overall Payment Modernization Strategy as well as taking care of the all the risk associated with new Payment Systems , Communicates with business accurately reflect progress on each Payment and Payment risk initiative and are in line with client and business objectives. Acts as key liaison with Compliance, Audit, Risk, Legal and Business Teams. Reviews escalated issues and works with BNY Mellon businesses and clients to resolve any potential high-impact issues. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple teams of Technical professionals and support staff. Responsible for the achievement of function goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of multiple teams across multiple products and legal jurisdictions. Significant operation, business, client-facing, regulatory and other internal and external exposure.


Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science or a related area, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 18-25 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 in management preferred. Experience in managing large program, team, risk management or related areas preferred.
