The Treasury Services Trade Sales Officer III will be responsible for promoting global trade finance and associated supply chain solutions, to financial institutions and selected corporate clients, across the Americas. This individual will lead a regional calling effort geared towards new prospects, as well as promoting services to existing clients that are critical to the Corporation. This position requires both individual and team oriented account planning with cross-sector colleagues and business stakeholders, as well as strong and persuasive presentation skills.

 

The Trade Sales Officer will partner with other front office staff members in the Americas and with peers across other regions, to promote the sale of trade finance products to their existing clients and prospects, resulting in new revenue opportunities, while also developing entirely new business relationships on their own, within their respective segment or territories.

 

The ability to develop and articulate industry and client strategies within the trade finance space is extremely important, as is having an understanding of the global markets and the role that international trade plays for businesses around the world. Moreover, strong analytical and solution development skills will be required, to match client needs with appropriate trade services solutions, utilizing data to support those decisions. Strong technical trade services knowledge, including credit and documentary skills, required to develop and service key client relationships effectively.

 

This is a "front office" role with significant interaction with key clients. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills are required. Foreign language skills, particularly Spanish and Portuguese, are desirable. The role requires broad representation of the business in external and internal situations. Good social skills, global acumen and cultural sensitivity required. Candidate should also be very self-motivated, having the ability to work independently, and have extensive (10 years plus) experience developing and sourcing new business opportunities within a specific business segment or portfolio.

 

 

 

  

 

 

Qualifications

 Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in Product Management, operations, client management preferred. MBA or CFA preferred. Product Leadership Certification preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
