Job Description

The Person in this role will be responsible for researching & resolving any production issues in the shift supporting a global market coverage spanning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She/he will be serving onshore counterparts in communicating with brokers/custodians in Asian & Australian markets to ensure timely processing & settlement of various asset types.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Domain expert: Coordinate with other Operations groups such as Trading, Portfolio Management, Data Management, Onboarding teams to ensure confirmations and settlements are completed in a timely manner to avoid any kind of financial impact to the firm.

Handle all types of trading/client/broker/custodian related enquiries or calls that may come during the shift

 

 

Quality checker: Identify, research, and resolve operational problems for all issues pertaining to Middle Office, Collateral management, Derivatives Operations & Settlements team which may occur during the shift

 

 

Reporting: Interacting with relevant IT teams to ensure any technical issues with client/custodian/ broker statements or reports are being resolved in a timely manner. Providing weekly reports of the shift.

 

 

 

Eligibility Criterion

 

  • Post Graduate degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred, or comparable work experience;
  • Minimum 1.5-2.0 years working experience.
  • Knowledge of VBA (macros) and scripting languages are valued
  • Progress towards advanced financial degree is a plus.

 

 

SKILLS

 

  • In depth knowledge of various investment products like, but not limited to equities, foreign exchange, fixed income, options, all types of swaps (total return swaps, bullet swaps, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps).
  • Excellent cross-cultural communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines
