Job Description:

 

Client Service Delivery Technology is seeking an experienced Principal Technology Architect with a proven track record to lead strategic design initiative on our global custody and cash services platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with both zOS, distributed, and open architecture environments, and in strategic business transformation and platform modernization initiatives. The candidate will be expected to assess current state architectures, and develop target state blueprints and transformational roadmaps to achieve strategic organizational objectives, increase the efficiency of internal business processes, and improve client experience. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills are essential, as well as deep subject matter knowledge of the securities industry.  The successful candidate is expected to have a working knowledge of enterprise data architecture concepts, architecture models, integration and middleware technologies, service orientation, reference architectures, APIs, object-oriented design, and open source software.

 

The candidate will be expected to create design specifications, data models, define application components and interfaces. Capability to evaluate and implement vendor software and tools is required, provide technical guidance to cross-functional, cross-platform application development teams, and act as a consultant and subject matter expert to influence development strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, 10-12 years of experience in architecture, design, and hands-on application development required.  Experience in the securities or financial services industry is essential, knowledge of the global custody business domain is highly desirable. IT architecture industry certification is a plus (e.g., TOGAF, IBM, etc.).
