Job Description

The Senior Director - Team Leader, WMS leads a team of Wealth Managers, WMS and Senior Wealth Managers, WMS responsible for the management of assigned client relationships. The incumbent serves as the trusted advisor to Wealth Management Select clients and their families to provide comprehensive guidance to their clients regarding personal trust, agency, estate, guardian, charitable, retirement and institutional accounts. The incumbent must possess strong leadership skills, have a good understanding of the rules and regulations governing fiduciary responsibility and be able to clearly articulate Wealth Management s disciplined investment management process. The incumbent is fully accountable for all legal and investment aspects of the team's assigned client relationships, responsible for managing/controlling the team's revenues & expenses, and, for training existing and future team members in all facets of Wealth Management s investment and fiduciary principles. The incumbent will be expected to assess, identify and address risk related to BNY Mellon s role as a fiduciary in addition to interacting directly with clients/beneficiaries to address questions and resolve outstanding issues. The incumbent will also work with his/her senior manager to formulate strategies, policies and procedures that will enhance client service delivery, improve account management productivity and manage risk.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. S/He will have at least 8+ years of experience in the investment and fiduciary management industry or equivalent work experience. S/He should have experience successfully managing larger, more sensitive client relationships. Progress towards an advanced degree or professional credentials: CFA, CFO or CTFA is preferred.
