Senior Administrative Assistant

This Senior Administrative Assistant will directly support Senior Leaders for BNY Mellon's North America Distribution businesses within Investment Management. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and executing initiatives sponsored by both the BNY Mellon Executive Committee and the Investment Management business. Because these business leaders typically travel 70% or more, there will be a heavy emphasis on managing travel and expenses.
The individual in this role will perform a full range of advanced, diversified administrative functions for the leaders, requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skills and knowledge of organization policies and practices. The individual in this role will compose written correspondence, may organize events and seminars, and may coordinate resources for projects of moderate complexity.
In addition, he or she will need to be well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, manage priorities, and establish and meet deadlines. Moreover, this Senior Administrative Assistant should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling meetings utilizing Microsoft Outlook
- Support larger teams environment
- Collaborate with other Investment Management Administrative Assistants on the completion of core processes such as performance management tasks, vacation tracking, etc.
- Coordinate the scheduling of events and strategy meetings
- Arrange travel itineraries and coordinate travel arrangements, including booking travel tickets and settlement of related expenses
- Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings and other correspondence by utilizing Microsoft Word
- Screen telephone calls and/or emails and use independent judgment to resolve routine and complex inquiries
- Maintain and order office supplies
- At least a High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience as an administrative assistant in a large corporate environment supporting an senior-level business manager or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
