Senior Specialist, Business Planning and Legal Entity Governance
You will work directly for the CEO of The Bank of New York Mellon International Limited (BNYMIL) legal entity and the EMEA Head of Client and Legal Entity Governance for Asset Servicing.
The role is responsible for managing legal entity and regulatory initiatives for BNYMIL and will be aligned to the other legal entities in EMEA Asset Servicing, ensuring best practise for the business. It is an individual contributor role with a key focus on strategy, governance, business planning / implementation.
Legal entity strategy and business planning. This includes implementing the strategy with the legal entity governance committees including the Board, ensuring proper governance, oversight, regular strategy review and refresh
Supporting the CEO in preparation for the governance committees including the BNYMIL Board and relevant external bodies including the Regulator(s)
Liaise with Asset Servicing line of business Legal Entity representatives to ensure that the requirements of the Legal Entity and their clients are supported by the business.
o Oversee Legal Entity SLA KRI’s for the AS line of business
o Oversee key metrics for the BNYMIL client base and include in Exco and Board reporting as required
As well as governance reporting in support of the legal entity(s), you will be involved in enhancing regulatory reporting for different legal entities, including audit and compliance activities
Supporting the day to day running of the BNYMIL legal entity ensuring the right governance activities are in place and helping support any remediation as required
Leading projects specific to BNYMIL to ensure regulatory and market environment readiness
Ensuring the CEO meets the requirements as they relate to the SMR (Senior Managers Regime)
The requirements for this role are summarised as follows:
• University education: BA/MBA/first degree in related subject preferred
• Significant experience in financial services industry
• Knowledge of Asset Servicing preferred
• Significant experience in Legal entity, regulatory activities
• Project management / Consulting skills preferred
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem solving, organisation skills, and results focussed demeanour required
