IM EMEA, Head of Marketing Operations (12 month Maternity Contract)

As Head of Marketing Operations within IM EMEA Marketing (12 month FTC), you will work closely with all teams across Marketing and senior stakeholders across distribution to improve, optimize and ensure alignment of the wider department.
Key team functions
Technology: evaluation, implementation and management of marketing technology systems – automation, attribution and other solutions used by the team to ensure they are effective.
Data: ensuring marketing automation data, CRM data and relevant data is being collected according to best practise for quality, unification, access, and governance and measurement purposes.
Alignment: supporting the delivery of annual strategic marketing plans with CMO and annual strategic country/ channel plans. Oversight of operational budget planning according to business priorities.
Project management: facilitate robust PM to deliver key projects, actively driving the need for change/ implementation.
Facilitate strategic planning review sessions on an annual basis. Initiate and drive annual planning cycle for IM EMEA marketing (all countries/ channels and Marketing, working with CMO) – ensuring plans are produced on an agreed timeframe consistently and in an agreed format
Disseminate marketing and customer insight to ensure all marketing plans are developed on an informed basis. Provide up-to-date strategic insight on areas such as competitor analysis, external distribution trends, marketing best practice, and industry and customer research.
Lead and motivate a team of Marketing Operations Planners to work closely with and collaborate with all Marketing functions; Programme, Digital, Events, Editorial and Product Marketing Team.
Oversee and drive project pipeline foreseeing large project requirements such as impending regulation and including marketing automation developments, delegating projects across the team and planning resource.
Lead marketing specific projects– working with consultancies on an ongoing basis. Represent marketing on business wide projects such as regulatory or business change.
Work closely with Marketing Operations and Performance Analyst to drive, implement and refine Marketing’s data strategy ensuring Marketing is appropriately well represented in Exco and Quarterly Boutique Review reports.
Work closely with Senior Marketing Operations Planner to support operational budget planning and key decisions/ changes.
Work closely with other departments such as Finance, Sales, Project Management, Global Procurement, Compliance, Business Technology and the CRM IM Team – to ensure that all projects and change goes through the correct channels.
Manage resource within the team and delegate to senior marketing operations planner/ marketing operations planner as required.
Work with the Chief Marketing Officer to ensure the effective smooth running of the team on an ongoing basis (e.g. resource management), acting as the first line of defence.
Escalate where appropriate/ required decisions and issues to Chief Marketing Officer identifying solutions and course of actions.

Needs to be outgoing, professional and confident. Experience in Marketing Operations/ Planning function in the past will be an advantage as well knowledge of marketing automation/ CRM. This individual will be extremely detail focused and will be motivated by running programs efficiently and effectively.
