Job Description

The Visual Brand and Design Manager is typically charged with creating a conceptual design, developing storyboards, collaborating with a team, producing, creating and editing video and motion graphics concepts for marketing campaigns, events, sales support, etc. He/she plays a key role in determining how to visually represent the company's key strategic initiatives and business goals, through video creation, editing and digital design in addition to day-to-day support of brand awareness, client acquisition, and client and employee engagement. This individual may serve as a project lead, enlisting support from more junior staff or peers. Strong communication skills required. Implement creative visual solutions to marketing challenges, identifies the most effective way to get messages across multiple design mediums. Develop innovative and effective conceptual designs for marketing efforts from brainstorming to design, revisions and delivery. Play a lead strategic role in creative sessions for project kick-offs. Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external resources to deliver creative design concepts to support business activities. Provides technical guidance, as needed. Apply technical, industry/segment, market climates and competitive activities knowledge to recommend ways to leverage opportunities and implement in design deliverables. Can take a creative idea, storyboard and socialize it, and put it into practice. Help establish style guidelines and standards to drive consistency, brand alignment and design integrity. ' Coordinate with the entire visual brand team to ensure a consistent visual experience for initiatives involving multiple mediums (print, web and interactive). Ability to art direct other designers as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with a diverse internal client base. Ability to present and express creative rationale. Establish and adhere to project schedule and assure timely delivery of every project. Ability to handle a fast paced environment with changing deliverables and requests. ' No direct reports, provides guidance to less experienced staff. Leads projects to include assigning work and monitoring quality and completion. Manages to approved budget, submits expenses.  

Qualifications

Typically a BA or BFA degree in Visual Arts or related field with visual design and project management or equivalent work experience required. ' Typically 8+ years of experience in corporate visual brand design, creative strategy development and print, online and multi-media design. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. '
