The incumbent will oversee the closing process which includes communicating and working closely with both external clients and internal Mortgage Banking Officers (MBOs) and Account Executives (AEs) to ensure timely and accurate closings, making it a positive experience for our clients. Reviews all preliminary information on a mortgage title. The candidate will be responsible for working very closely with attorneys and settlement agents and coordination of mortgage closings on a national basis. Evaluates and reviews files thoroughly to ensure files are documented and properly authorized per bank policy and procedures, as well as, ensuring the file meets all regulatory standards. S/he is responsible for performing closing duties including the preparation and review of all closing documents in accordance with corporate, state and federal regulations. Ensures all closing conditions are met including, but not limited to reviewing insurance, flood, HUD1s and all other regulatory requirements. Also has responsibility for overseeing and monitoring the timely disbursement of bank funds to settlement agents. Coordinates and works closely with our service provider to ensure loans are timely and accurately set up in the loan servicing system. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and ensuring all signed closing documents are received and executed properly. The incumbent must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner, work independently and have the capability to determine if an issue requires escalation for resolution. Incumbent will regularly interact with internal MBOs and AEs to ensure maximum customer service and adherence to strict compliance regulations.  


Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Proven work history of overseeing all aspects of individual mortgage closings on a national basis. BA/BS or equivalent experience is preferred. 3-5 years related mortgage experience, including experience in closing and mortgage file review required.
