Our solutions include Securities Operations, Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Performance Measurement and other related services.

Job Purpose:

The Business Manager will lead the Manchester-based EMEA Client Service Delivery (CSD) Office Business Management team reporting to the Manager of the EMEA CSD Office and CSD Manager UK Banking Legal Entities.

The EMEA CSD Office Business Management team will be focused on pan-European service delivery initiatives including EMEA CSD Operational Continuity in Resolution (OCIR) coordination and plans. In addition, the team will manage and/or coordinate large/complex CSD, Corporate or Business driven initiatives that have a dependency on EMEA CSD, ie change management, operational model engineering and transformation initiatives with particular attention on creating operational efficiency in a robust control environment.

 

The EMEA CSD Office Business Management team will also assume responsibility for EMEA CSD’s regional and legal entity reporting and management information (ex-SMR) required to support and evidence effective Legal Entity and CSD governance and oversight.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and/or coordinate large/complex CSD, Corporate or Business initiatives/projects (excluding regulatory initiatives/projects).

• Produce and manage EMEA CSD’s regional and legal entity reporting and management information (ex-SMR) required to support and evidence effective Legal Entity and CSD governance and oversight.

• Represent EMEA CSD at Business, Regional and Legal Entity committees, governance forums and meetings as required.  

• Provide support to EMEA CSD teams when faced with key operational issues and support escalation to governance and oversight forums.

• Build relationships across the BNY Mellon group to ensure that EMEA CSD is effectively represented and that company leverages the EMEA CSD Office where appropriate.

• Work closely with the Manager of the EMEA CSD Office to identify opportunities for process improvements and best practice adoption across UK Banking Legal Entities and the wider organisation.

• Be aware, understand the risks within the UK Banking Legal Entities and EMEA CSD through Risk Appetite, Risk Registers, RCSA’s etc, and ensure that all relevant operational issues and risks are captured and escalated, through the governance framework where appropriate.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with the financial services industry

• Proven organisational and project management skills/experience

• Excellent IT skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated, dynamic individual with a proven track record of working across functional and organisational boundaries  in a challenging deadline driven environment.
