Job Description

Manages a team of professional staff within a single complex country or several non-complex countries. Leads the work of professional staff in the implementation and administration of payroll policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational and relevant country laws, policies and regulations. Serves as a subject matter expert on the assigned country's payroll administration and compliance factors. Ensures the accuracy of payroll calendars and processing schedules for the assigned country. Coordinates the production of all weekly, bi-weekly and special compensation, and oversees the issuance of special checks for the assigned country. Directs the team's reporting activities and escalates identified issues or inefficiencies to more senior managers. As directed, leads professional staff in conducting audits and preparing materials for both internal and external auditors. Contributes to the development and implementation of country policies and procedures that align with the organization and organizational objectives. Develops tactical solutions that address changes in payroll laws and regulations and guides the country team in adapting to these changes. Initiates projects to improve delivery of service to country managers and enhance system performance. Addresses payroll issues escalated by professional staff. Initiates the development of reports for presentation to country management on identified issues, errors and inefficiencies. Guides the team's development of proposals on payroll design, potential new components to be evaluated and existing components to be assessed. Leads the country team in implementing changes if approved. Coordinates the production and distribution of employee tax statements and notifications in compliance with country law. Directs professional staff's analyses of payroll and tax data and pay programs over time. May manage special projects as directed by more senior managers. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contributions, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively as a team. Responsible for the performance management processes for professional staff within the country team. Manages payroll professionals within a single complex country or several non complex countries. Work is accomplished primarily through the work of direct reports. 

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 5-7 years of total work experience preferred with 0-1 years of management experience preferred. CPP or equivalent designation is preferred. Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
