Job Description

Sr. Principal Technology Strategist

 

Candidates should ideally have a strong background in IT Consulting/Analytics/Defining Roadmaps or prior experience developing IT Strategy in a CIO office with 10-15 years of experience

- Domain knowledge in Asset Servicing areas such as Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Investor Services a plus

- Candidates should have demonstrated experience of 5+ years in Banking/Financial Services Industry 

- Should have ability to interact with experts, CxOs, hold meaningful conversations and shape value propositions

- Outstanding research and analytical skills: ability to synthesize large sets of data and integrate into meaningful reports and recommendations

- Strong quantitative skills, particularly building complex Excel models

- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize and convey key insights from analysis in presentations and emails

- High degree of comfort working in an unstructured environment and ability to work well under pressure

 

Develops and provides technology direction for the business units supported. Defines and maintains an overall technology plan and development roadmap that will support the growth planned across the IT organization. Designs, performs and oversees a wide range of larger scale strategic projects, directing and formulating recommendations and obtaining stakeholder buy-in. Provides solutions to highly complex business problems for areas of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Utilizes comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of multiple areas within technology to consult with teams during the technical planning process and advise on technology and process decisions. Identifies important technology areas for development, and initiates the projects needed to drive the technology strategy. Keeps abreast of contemporary concepts in IT strategy and management and applies these to develop innovative business solutions and business transformation plans and roadmaps. Contributes to the achievement of Strategic Planning objectives.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred, 12+ years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. MBA Preferred.
