Markets FX Operations EMEA Section Manager

  The primary objective of the operation is to ensure timely and accurate settlement of client and market Foreign Exchange activity. This extends to post trade reporting, reconciliation and query resolution of all EMEA Markets Foreign Exchange.   The FX Middle Office is also responsible for the trade capture segment of the FX transaction lifestyle. The team is the link between Asset Servicing and Markets Division for FX trade flow FX Middle office are the link that ensures FX requests are sent in a timely and accurate manner for pricing to the Markets Trading Desk.   Services are also provided to support the FX Swap activity of Corporate Treasury across multiple Legal Entities.   Markets EMEA FX Operations is the back office for Foreign Exchange trade settlement and control monitoring for Markets FX Trading Europe (encompassing London, Belgium (SA/NV), Frankfurt, and International Legal Entities.)   In addition to BAU activities, the operation is requested to participate in the ongoing development of markets and BNYM client product offerings to provide comfort and sign off from a technology and product perspective.   The Markets EMEA FX Operations Section Manager is responsible for supporting the department in all day to day foreign exchange related back office functions. The person is charged with delivering superior service for the Markets Front Office Operation including FX trading and sales extending to all other applicable areas of BNY Mellon and external clients. FX Trade volumes average 100,000 deals per month totalling in excess of $250 Billion.   The overall objective of the position is to ensure that the daily workflow for Markets Operations are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner, supporting the confirmation process, maintenance of relevant static data in back office systems, resolve any settlement issues by liaising with management and counterparties, managing queries from both internal and external sources in a competent, efficient and timely manner. Timely and accurate settlement of FX activity is a key deliverable for the role.   Participation and support of staff in an assigned work stream is a core element of the role.   Role Responsibilities;   Acts as deputy for the Group Manager when requested. Responsible for effective team management Responsible for the day to day oversight and participation of workflow responsibilities within the team. Provides timely staff training, identifies knowledge and process gaps within team and keeps up to date on department CAM Acts as first point of escalation and escalates through the chain as appropriate. Bank authorised signatory. Qualifications

Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in brokerage processing is preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
