Specialist, Physical Security
Analyzes, implements, and manages complex security and access control operations including building security supervision. Takes proactive measures to mitigate physical security risk. Manages medium-sized physical security projects, including technological improvements and/or the installation of security systems and protective programs. Prepares project budgets, expenditure reports, and status reporting. Identifies, researches, procures, and deploys technology solutions for physical security operations. Determines the functionality and feasibility of new technology for acquisition and implementation. Conducts risk assessment analyses to facilitate the review of BNY Mellon facilities on a regular basis. Presents findings to Security management. Monitors and audits security processes at BNY Mellon facilities for potential deficiencies. Summarizes findings and develops and proposes process improvements to remediate potential issues. Interacts with external service suppliers and vendors. No direct reports; provides technical advice/guidance to less experienced team members needed. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives and goals. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 5-7 years of total work experience preferred. Prior experience in security preferred.
