Group Manager, Project/Program Management (Securities Data Service)
This role will be as Project Manager in the Securities Data Service Technology team. As part of our Technology Roadmap, we are focused on the modernization, re-engineering, analysis and delivery of our software and hardware components into the Greenfield environment. Effort to move to this environment will include hardware upgrades, migration of our Vendor data feeds, and modernization of legacy components. Candidate is also expected to be involved with increased resiliency and agility by centralizing the pricing that happens in multiple applications into a single product. The demands of this role will require someone who has a strong background in securities data management especially pricing with expertise in leading and managing technology efforts related to vendor migrations. You will define, design and develop solutions, recommend business process improvements, test and deploy system enhancements. Candidate has hands-on expertise and business domain knowledge in Market Data and Security Master Space, Alternative investments (Hedge funds/Derivatives), Domestic and Global Custody, Pricing, and Regulatory and Compliance integration. Candidate will lead projects, utilizing various project management and reporting tools like Jira and MS Project. Candidate has to possess strong communication skills and be able to engage with Business users and lead teams with diverse geographical location.
Group Manager, Project/Program Management->> Manages a medium to large-sized or multiple small teams of project managers who are the primary contact for clients and groups within the organization for small to medium scale projects. The team is responsible for end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation. Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of small scale to medium scale projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Manages communication with the business at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues. Manages client expectations and ensures project delivery is in conformance with company software development life cycle methodologies. Proactively manages a team of project managers. Provides guidance on business and technical subject matter to associates. Conducts status meetings and facilitates risk mitigation and resolution of more complex issues. Directs, recruits, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Recommends enhancements to project management tools / techniques and software development life cycle methodologies. Facilitates testing preparation and test execution. Manages one or more project management teams. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 8 + years of related project management experience required, experience with technology and/or the financial services industry is a plus. Prior experience managing projects of 10+ team members required.
- Experience in managing projects of 5+ team members required.
- Candidate would have experience with vendor management and understanding of Third-Party Governance.
- Must have excellent planning and execution abilities, along with communication and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience in financial services or business partner function is preferred
- Directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their contributions, professional growth and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
- Experience in the securities industry is a plus.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 8 + years of related project management experience required, experience with technology and/or the financial services industry is a plus. Prior experience managing projects of 10+ team members required.
