Job Description

Implements multiple complex projects focused on ongoing management/maintenance of the enterprise-wide risk management frameworks that establish policies, protocols and procedures for aggregating and analyzing risk data, assessing risk data and developing, recommending and implementing improvements. Assists organizational leadership with the evaluation of existing processes and uses growing industry experience to appropriately address control gaps and assess, monitor and report on risks inherent to the industry and with broad consequences across the organization. Contributes to the organization's risk management framework byensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines such as Regulation SR 15-18 and the monitoring/review of controls over the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (“CCAR”) process. Supports cross-functional efforts to promote a strong risk culture throughout the organization. Contributes to the development of cross-risk reporting for management on outputs of risk management activities. Builds relationships with organizational managers to increase the likelihood that risk-related deliverables, issue resolution and implementation of improvements are completed on time. Escalates issues to more senior professionals. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.  

Additional responsibilities include:

Assist in compiling and updating Board presentations for the Chief Risk Officer including:

o   Quarterly assessments of capital adequacy

o   Quarterly assessments of material risks

o   Annual compilation of CCAR Board Book

o   Other as requested

 

Reviews and assesses the adequacy of calculators used in CCAR

Assists with the implementation of projects

Reviews work papers and supporting documentation for CCAR

Additional Skills:

Candidate must have excellent communication skills and a solid foundation in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Powerpoint

 

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Business Analytics or Risk, Financial or Regulatory Reporting background preferred.

Risk and Compliance provide risk and compliance services across all BNY Mellon businesses. Organizationally, Risk and Compliance includes the following groups: Risk Management, Compliance, Global Corporate Security, Information Risk Management and Global Business Continuity.
