The Market Segment Manager serves as Treasury Services 'voice of and to the market', and is responsible for remaining abreast of the continued changes and evolution within a specified or set of industries. Through collaboration and teamwork the Market Segment Manager is responsible for liaising with internal and external partners, vendors and other constituents/stakeholders. In alignment with Treasury Services Vision and Strategy, the Market Segment Manager works to develop, enact and promote holistic solutions that drive increased market share and profitable revenue growth for the segment, on a global level, while mitigating risk. The position encompasses revenue generation goal(s) that closely correlate with those of their sales counterpart, and has accountability for overall segment profitability. Prior market management, product line management or equivalent experience with a proven track record desired. Knowledge of other BNYMellon and Financial markets and Treasury Services Lines of Business a plus. Requires attention to detail. Strong background and experience managing multiple projects from inception to conclusion, with multi task proficiency and strong organizational, planning and time management skills required. Must be a proactive self-starter that can identify a need/issue, develop and present clear and concise recommendations and resultantly define and mange associated execution plans to conclusion--on time, within scope and budgetary framework. Strong customer (internal and external) orientation, with industry exposure and involvement. Solution development, packaging and selling orientation. Must be able to synthesize market trends and other internal/external feedback into strategies, new product offerings and initiatives that support corporate vision and strategy while profitably growing revenues and minimizing risk. Must be able to gather inputs, interpret and analyze data and articulate business, product and market requirements and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to a broad range of audiences, including peers, business partners and senior management. Must be a hands on individual that is able to manage by influence and relationship building (matrix management)--Good interpersonal, oral communication and writing skills. Producing effective and cohesive relationships with management, peers, staff, vendors and customers. Ability to guide, develop and motivate team members. BS / BA in business or equivalent experience.
