Senior Analyst, Business Technology Liaison (Tester)

BNY Mellon are looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join our established team in Manchester.
You will be working with our Test Manager and Test Team to ensure our work is of the highest quality. If successful you will play a key part of a dynamic and motivated team that implements Technology changes for the Banks payment infrastructure.
You will work across a number of projects that helps us to deliver a world class client experience, developing and executing tests cases, tracking quality issues through to resolution and contributing to the high quality of all deliverables produced.
Preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing.
Gathering of data and requirements.
Lead delivery of projects and small change initiatives.
Participate in projects to deliver transformational business and technology change.
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver in line with expectation.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities/enhance business processes and solve problems.
Use of test management suite to track deliverables.
Production queries from the Business.
Participates in the development of functional or operational requirements. Tests and trains users on applications with guidance from more experienced colleagues. Interfaces with all areas of IT on behalf of the business to resolve IT matters and improve business processes. Uses defined or documented processes to collect and define requirements from businesses or functional areas. Works with users and peers on planning, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications. Uses knowledge of business needs to provide design support to software and application development teams. Participates in process improvement reviews and summarizes business issues and client feedback for teams review. Assists with training of users on new or enhanced applications and/or systems. Supports testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems. Tasks include case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution. Uses basic knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives .
QualificationsDesirable Skills & Experience:
- Educated to degree level.
- BCS/ISTQB certification or similar.
- Experience of testing, planning and coordination.
- Financial/Banking experience preferred with a focus on the Cash Payment process.
- Strong communication skills (Written/Verbal).
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proven experience of delivery for system changes and small projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- No direct reports.

Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Technical experience preferred.
