Enterprise Service Management is actively seeking an Availability Manager.  Enterprise Service Management is responsible for proactive governance, control and continuous improvement of the Production Services Operating model, underlying IT operational processes and supporting tools to ensure optimal and effective service delivery, production stability and regulatory compliance.  The Availability Management role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the IT resiliency and service continuity management processes to ensure that services can be recovered in a timely manner and acceptable availability levels are achieved and demonstrated.  The candidate would be working on a wide variety of availability management practices and implementing continuous improvements as an ongoing activity.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

§  Create, support and socialize the implementation of standard process, roles, and responsibilities for Availability Management across all Lines of Business

§  Leverage the enterprise standards to create Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DR) to be executed by Lines of Business

§  Ensure that BC and DR plans are complete, current, approved and maintained

§  Facilitate the periodic testing of Business Continuity plans and ensure participation from critical stakeholders

§  Facilitate the periodic testing of resiliency plans and ensure participation from critical stakeholders

§  Continually identify and raise continuity or recovery related risks, suggest strategies for remediation, and track to closure

§  Perform periodic reconciliation between the production and DR environment, work with application teams to eliminate inconsistencies

§  Facilitate effective crisis communication in collaboration with the business recovery teams and Production Service Leads

§  Ensure proper reporting for Availability is in place and clearly communicated

§  Support any regulatory requirements involving Availability

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

§  Resiliency and IT Service Continuity or relevant IT experience

§  Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL Framework

§  Strong written and verbal communication skills

§  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

§  Experience developing relationships and collaborating with IT, business, and vendor stakeholders

§  Proactively identifies knowledge and process gaps and develops improvement

§  Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

§  ITIL certification is a plus

§  Experience supporting regulatory requirements is a plus
