Global Testing and Business Support Specialist/Expert
BNY Mellon Markets Collateral Management provides collateral solutions to global market participants. Through the efficient and optimal collateralization of trading and counterparty exposures, Collateral Management assists its clients in managing risk, capital and liquidity via its ability to provide the broadest market, transaction and client coverage across several asset classes globally. As a member of the Collateral Management team, you will be part of a global market leader, working with a world class group in multiple global locations and servicing some of the largest clients worldwide.The Global Testing and Business Support team (GTBS Team) has the following main responsibilities for all covered products within Global Collateral Management and Segregation: Production support: Liaison between technology and business operation groups as a first level of escalation for issues encountered on functional BAU processes or system issues User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Perform UAT, Support implementation to production, Training to stakeholders and post implementation support. Client onboarding support (includes client facing) Inbound and outbound messaging expertise support to internal and external clients Reporting set up coordination Client testing Client access request coordination The GTBS Specialist has the responsibility to support the Collateral Management and Segregation business groups in their day to day on system and functional process problems as well as to specifically own the UAT and/or Client onboarding for the assigned projects and/or client onboarding. Key Roles & Responsibilities Organisation of the day-to-day work: Ensure assigned project tasks are balanced off with the production support required. Communicate to management when conflicts are encountered. Relationship development: Build out good relationship with key stakeholders including clients, IT and IT support (QA), Project managers, Product, Operations, RMs and senior Management. Communication: Adapt communication to stakeholder’s needs/interest. Ensure timely communication is in place as per the objective of the message. Client focus: deliver for our Clients, act as a Client advocate within the teams and across BNY Mellon. Risk management: Adhere to all outlined procedures Understand operational/functional process flows of the business to ensure client (internal or external) queries are acted upon accordingly and to ensure that identified postponed defects/gaps are communicated and understood by business/clients to mitigate any risks linked to these. Project management:
Manage and execute the different milestones GTBS is responsible for within an assigned project or client testing Review and understand requirements Create test plan and collect sign off from stakeholder Create test scripts Execute testing (including Functional, regression and client testing) Collect sign for different testing from stakeholders Organize communication on project operational/business impact (including training sessions where applicable) Support implementation business validation Monitor and follow up on post implementation issues Ensure correct documentation for each milestone where applicable as per procedures Provide internal training to colleagues where needed Additional Elements: Data Transfer, Integration and Quality Analysis Under significant direction, analyzes, reconciles, troubleshoots and reviews incoming and outgoing data to ensure accurate performance/output generated by organization technology products and solutions. May contribute to data quality testing and begin to work with outside vendors. Analyzes and monitors data/reports to ensure quality of and accurate transfer, integration, translation, and reporting of data, reacting promptly to data quality statistics and client inquiries. Based on SOPs and/or documented process, executes low risk data fixes, resulting in improved performance or accuracy. Executes test plans and ensures the quality and accurate delivery/transfer of test and production files. Builds domain and product knowledge through assisting colleagues and frequent interaction with technology developers, product teams, relationship/account managers, etc. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- Experience in securities or financial services preferred.
