In this role you will maintain and support applications and their operating environments as well as monitor changes introduced. You will closely cooperate with development teams; be responsible for building effective tools for deployment, monitoring and operations; resolve issues from all of the environments including production.


The primary functions of the role are as follows:

  •  Act as a last line of support before development team. Sometimes on-call, remote support will be necessary
  • Support development, release, deployment and monitoring processes
  • Prepare development environments
  • Build and maintain building and monitoring tools 

Qualifications

The candidate must have the following skills:


•                     Min 3 years of experience in DevOp-like role           

o   knowledge of command shells (e.g. Windows CMD.EXE)

o   knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell)

o   knowledge of command shells (e.g. bash)

o   knowledge of interpreted programming languages (e.g. Python, Perl)

o   knowledge of Docker

•                     Experience with change management and release automation processes

o   knowledge of building tools (Maven , MSBuild, Nant)

o   knowledge of continuous integration tools  (Jenkins, TFS)

o   basic understanding of concept of artefacts repositories (Nuget, Artifactory)

o   basic understanding of version control tools (Git, TFS – TFVC, SVN)

o   basic understanding of tools: Nginx, Apache, Puppet/Ansible

o   basic understanding of cloud computing (Mesos, Kubernetes)

•                     Basic knowledge of network protocols (e.g. ssh, ftp, http)

•                     Troubleshooting skills

•                     Strong communication skills, both face to face and with remote locations

•                     Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

 

Good knowledge of T-SQL and/or PLSQL and/or Red-Hat will be a plus.
