Role Profile


This role can be based in London or Edinburgh.


Regulatory & Technical Development

  • Delivering high quality interpretation of regulatory and compliance matters
  • Ability and confidence to discuss any matters covered by the Regulatory & Technical Support team directly with clients in detail
  • Facilitate and/or host client and stakeholder regulatory update sessions in the form of, inter alia, seminars, conferences, informal roundtable events
  • Deliver (in person or by telephone/video conference) regulatory updates as part of, inter alia, client service review meetings, board presentations, sales pitches, client due diligence reviews
  • Support Client Management Team in the management of day-to-day client interactions – attending service review and other operational meetings as necessary, providing input into reporting as required
  • Support applicable vendor management function within UK T&D in the management of day-to-day interactions with the delegated function – attending service review and other operational meetings as necessary, providing input into reporting as required
  • Ability to translate complex theoretical regulatory concepts and technical explanation within a practical, client-relevant context tailored to the nature and role of the target audience
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments
  • Present management information reporting as required

Minimum experience/ability

  • In-depth knowledge of the collective investment funds industry and the rules and regulations pertaining thereto
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory developments - past, present and future
  • Detailed knowledge of the role of a trustee/depositary
  • Operational and execution based knowledge of authorised and unauthorised fund types
  • Work independently on complex issues, tasks or queries, either internal or client related and ensure these are tracked to resolution
  • Ability to deal directly with clients
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to build and leverage on relationships with client contacts
  • Ability to provide training and development to others
  • Ability to research, analyse and apply knowledge in practical situations
  • Similar role experience
