Responsible for developing and managing strategic polices that will ensure the safety and security of BNY Mellon's assets, property, and employees globally. Sets global standards to ensure BNY Mellon properties are physically secure and that programs such as fire safety are properly implemented. Sets global policies and oversees investigation activities including wire fraud, check fraud, unusual correspondence, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, embezzlement, insider abuse, stock/bond fraud, thefts, assaults, threats, harassment, and other employee and client matters. Advises senior leadership on matters of great risk to BNY Mellon. Oversees regional command centers and develops policies for responding to security incidents. Ensures that command center services are aligned with business plans and the strategic objective of the company. Provides insight and guidance on investigations of major security incidents and the needed corrected policies or actions. Develops strategy for use of contract guards at BNY Mellon locations. Oversees travel security policy development. Leads development of policy changes resulting from change in regional security issues and needs of BNY Mellon businesses. Manages the corporate security function globally. Significantly contributes to the achievement of corporate security objectives for the company. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 15+ years of total work experience, with 5-7 years of management experience, preferred. Prior experience in physical security and/or investigations is preferred.
