The Senior Research Analyst/Manager is responsible for the daily management of the research team which provides a high level of support to a variety of investment products and to perform independent research. The position requires complete understanding of how various parts of the organization (mostly portfolio management, trading and client servicing) work together to achieve business objectives, and acting as the point of contact for internal departments and external parties in communicating deliverables. The position requires very strong analytical and quantitative skills to identify effective and innovative solutions to solving a wide array of research problems. The position requires a deep understanding of economic/financial theory and of the investment process and production environment. The position affects the business directly by providing managerial support for the existing investment strategies (currency and GTAA) as well as contributing to improvements of the strategies. The position requires that the candidate has excellent communication skills in order to share her/his research results internally with peers, both verbally and in written form. The position also requires that the candidate interacts and works effectively with the research and the portfolio management teams. Eventually, the position may lead to interaction with clients whereby the candidate will be asked to present / discuss / explain various research projects.
Qualifications Graduate Degree. Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering preferred. 5-8 years. 8+ years preferred. Matlab (required), VBA, SQL (preferred).
