BNY Mellon Source to Pay (S2P), including program, technology and process elements, has significantly developed since introduction in 2014, and now incorporates strategic initiatives to meet Global Procurement and Third Party Governance objectives, as well as cost control and management of BNY Mellon’s vendors.
The Specialist Source to Pay will support Global Procurement and Business/Business Partner stakeholders as the SME and functional lead for eProcurement and associated elements of the Source to Pay (S2P) systems and processes.
Broad scope of the role:
· BAU management of S2P technology and processes
· Identification of process and system issues preventing wider eProcurement adoption
· Managing process and system changes to address identified issues; includes wider stakeholder engagement and analysis to assure adequate control mechanisms remain in place
· Analysis of required controls, and ensuring systems/processes in place
· Identifying opportunities and developing/managing projects to meet defined objectives
· Analysis and reporting to support S2P process management and optimization
The Specialist Source to Pay will manage the system and processes, focusing primarily but not exclusively on eProcurement functions, to enable defined S2P goals to be met. In order to lead the function, the individual is required to comprehensively understand the nature of eProcurement operations and technology, and related factors. The individual will require knowledge of P2P/S2P, including delivery of an eProcurement function and management of eProcurement systems and processes as a part of wider P2P/S2P. They will manage/lead process optimisation and system enhancement objectives and functionally coordinate across lines of business within BNY Mellon to enable eProcurement processes to be adopted.
The individual will be responsible for implementing to S2P / eProcurement related controls and activities to assure compliance and effective risk management/mitigation. Other specific responsibilities: identification of inefficiencies and wider optimization opportunities and taking action to address them; analysis and reporting to support S2P process management and optimization, including: adoption and optimization analysis; routine performance reporting; reporting of summary information to management in order to drive effective decision making; preparation and delivery of executive level reporting/dashboarding on key objectives; ad-hoc reporting requests.
The individual will also functionally manage offshore and outsource resource delivering S2P support and execution, including input to performance management and development.
This role has a global impact across BNY Mellon, and will require collaboration with stakeholders across many Business lines and Business Partner Groups as well as external parties (e.g. vendors), therefore strong relationship management skills are required. Management of change and implementation of initiatives will be key, and the ability to understand the impact of change at the organizational level and regulatory requirements are a core requirement. Where issues fall outside the direct scope of eProcurement, the individual must be able to influence and work collaboratively with wider stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; 5-7 years of total work experience preferred; knowledge of procurement practices and ERP required.
