Provides technical and/or business guidance to the SCM team as well as other groups. Ensures projects are meeting plans and objectives. Analyzes system requirements. Reviews and evaluates plans for major projects and initiatives to ensure they meet system needs. Coordinates the monitoring of major changes to applications and their operating environment. Analyzes any issues of high complexity. Standardizes the use of tools, technologies, and/or business expertise in relationship to testing approaches. Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of the use of technology in QA processes. Structures activities based upon approved project methodologies. Collects and analyzes project data and produces progress reports. Ensures the availability of applications for the client as well as problem management and resolution.  Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.   The preferred candidate will be an experienced and well-rounded IT leader with a background in Production Services.   The position will entail the oversight of Pershing’s Production Services teams, which will require that the candidate possess the flexibility to provide support during weekdays, weeknights and weekends, as required, to drive the mitigation of platform outages and to ensure optimal availability and stability of Pershing’s systems.  The position will report into the Managing Director for Application Optimization, Data Management and Infrastructure Relationship Services.









Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is beneficial, 12+ years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.


·        10-12 years of diverse technical experience with exposure to multiple areas of infrastructure technologies is required, including Distributed Hosting, Network, Database, Storage, Mainframe, File Transfer, Desktop, Operations and Disaster Recovery

·        Knowledge and expertise in foundational Production Services principles, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release and Deployment Management, Capacity Management, Service Level Management, Continuous Service Improvement, Event Management, Availability Management, Access Management and Vendor Management  

·        Outstanding communications and analytical skills, with a metric driven approach to determine value and effectiveness of services, processes, and technology components
