Senior Analyst, Cash Processing/Funds Transfer
Cash Processing and Funds Transfer - IC2 Monitors client payments, daily cash and wire transactions, and acts vets incoming transactions by matching fund and transaction receipts. Responsible for ensuring procedures associated with monitoring client fund transfers are followed. Facilitates the booking of all foreign currency trades with trading desks and confirm all outgoing wire transactions are settled by the receiving institutions. Provides higher level support for transactions that are flagged by the system, escalates to management if solution is not found. Acts as point of contact for clients and wire recipients and addresses inquiries and concerns about the transfer process. No direct reports but may provide guidance to less experienced team members. May have people management responsibilities in some geographies. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
Electronic Service Operations (ESO) supports file based electronic payment initiation and reporting using industry standard formats for BNY Mellon external (primarily large corporates and bank and non-bank financials) and internal clients including other departments such as AIS and Corporate Treasury. The group is responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the automated payment and reporting functionality they provide. The applicant will be responsible for providing support for our DTS Translation Software replacement project. These duties will include supporting systems development projects for operational readiness, executing User Acceptance Testing plans and assist in creating detailed operational procedures. S/He will also help coordinate customer migrations and help to ensure operational readiness through monitoring and resolving discrepancies in a production parallel environment as well as new client implementations on the system. Customer setups will be across various payment standards/methodologies including, Wire Transfer, ACH, Treasury Edge, BAI, XML and EDI X12. S/he will be required to maintain appropriate documentation for all customer setup and/or change requests, resolve any exceptions that may arise by actively using procedures, process flows and technical knowledge with minimal assistance and in accordance to established policies and procedures. S/he should possess knowledge of overall online transaction processing, be able to pinpoint problems using various payment frameworks, and communicate issues and impacts to management.
QualificationsBachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in financial services operations preferred.
