Job Description

  • Work with regional APAC Marketing and business teams to help build marketing plans for target clients in Japan

  • Help develop, implement the Marketing strategy for both the institutional and intermediary business in Japan, incorporating value proposition and end-to-end experience delivery in conjunction with key stakeholders.

  • Evaluate and manage brand propositions to ensure they meet customer needs, differentiate BNY Mellon in the market and deliver profitable outcomes for the organization

  • Manage the implementation of short-term and long term marketing initiatives to improve the client life cycle experience including pre-sales, sales, service and all touch points

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to drive the right product mix and meet the needs of customer and shareholders. Identify KPIs and manage marketing activities around them, communicating results and adjusting strategy accordingly

  • Drive, participate and implement APAC Marketing initiatives to deliver localized thought leadership in conjunction with key stakeholders

  • Work with distribution & service teams to provide education, support and communication tools to better target new customer and service existing customers. Communicate with key stakeholders across business, Compliance and product teams throughout the process

  • Work closely with the APAC Marketing to build and execute on an annual event calendar and conduct events, leverage cross business opportunities and increase client loyalty and engagement

  • Manage PR agency relationships and media activities for Japan, ensure alignment with Communications initiatives. Coordinate and communicate global and regional messages to local stakeholders and teams as\when needed

  • Be responsible for meeting growth target and segment level KPIs from a Marketing view

  • Periodically conduct competitive market analysis to enhance the value propositions

  • Conduct sales support for Japan Retail and Institutional teams


  • Bachelor degree, MBA preferable

  • Strong background in marketing and communication, experience working with regional and global teams

  • Fluid command of the Japanese and English Language competencies

  • Deep expertise of the Japanese asset management industry market preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to interface directly with internal and external clients
